Clean Hydrogen Works and its shareholders are pursuing the development of a world-scale, clean hydrogen-ammonia production and export project, located in the industrial area on the Mississippi River’s West Bank in Ascension Parish, Ascension Clean Energy (ACE).
A TRANSFORMATIONAL PROJECT
An innovative, state-of-the-art project, Ascension Clean Energy (ACE) would utilize clean hydrogen-ammonia production to supply the world's growing clean energy market. Helping to meet the demand for clean and affordable energy, this hydrogen-ammonia would be shipped to global markets as a clean energy feedstock.
The identified location in Ascension Parish provides close proximity to feedstock pipelines, direct access to the Mississippi River, and existing infrastructure, making it an ideal site for the project.
ACE is expected to produce 7.1 million metric tons per year of ammonia. Up to 98 percent of CO2 released from this process (12 million metric tons annually) would be captured and transported via pipeline to planned sequestration sites for deep underground permanent storage.
This transformational project aligns with the Louisiana Climate Action Plan, specifically the state’s goal to be carbon neutral by 2050. ACE would position Louisiana as a global leader in decarbonization while providing the opportunity for local residents and communities to be at the forefront of the energy transition.
With 350 permanent, full jobs projected, project shareholders are committed to working with local community and education leaders to provide pathways for additional training and job opportunities for the local workforce.
